ATG Training is moving with the times
ATG Training, the pioneering work-based training provider, has moved to new, 33,000 sq ft premises at the Future Centre in Smeaton Close, Aylesbury.
The technology centre contains 11 modern classrooms, a state-of-the-art CAD/CAM studio and caters for the needs of apprentices in electronics, engineering prototyping and cycle maintenance.
ATG is an educational charity with a 40 year track record of working closely with organisations to provide training that meets the real-world needs of employers. The organisation trains staff in over 300 companies across a wide range of disciplines such as Engineering, Electrical Safety, ICT Systems, Business Administration and Management, Customer Service, Warehousing and Distribution, Care, Child Care, Retail and Construction. Courses are externally accredited and can be tailored to meet individual company needs.
As a leading provider at national and local level in National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), ATG Training has recognised Centres of Vocational Excellence in such areas as engineering practice and productivity, and maintenance in the fast-growing cycling industry. ATG Training is the leading provider of training for cycle mechanics in the UK with a strong track record of working with the cycling industry.
ATG Training’s sought-after apprenticeships are dynamic, full-time courses in a structured hands-on environment, completed in six-months rather than the two years it would usually take in a college. They are offered at no charge to eligible students through government funding. Apprentices are paid while training and on completion, ATG Training work with employers to find them the right job.
Managing Director Tony Edwards said: “ATG Training’s new look underpins our commitment to the 21st century needs of a globally competitive employment market. By expanding our already successful training facilities and investing to stay at the leading edge of work–based training, we are providing skilled and talented workers for tomorrow’s needs. “
