Chain Reaction Cycles mechanics get Cytech

Chain Reaction Cycles are not only one of the biggest online retailers but they have a shop and staff that live cycling.

They recently asked us to assess their workshops staff to Cytech Technical Two standard so our assessor, Julian Thrasher, spent the week in their workshop in Doagh, Norhtern Ireland.
He observed their eleven mechanics strip, service and rebuild cycles as well as build wheels to a high standard.
He reported their workshop would be the envy of many shops; they build more wheels in a week that most see in a year and was impressed with the organisation and skill of the mechanics.
They all met or exceeded the standards of Cytech Technical Two so customers can be confident of entrusting their bikes to them.

Julian was looked after well and invited by head mechanic and Elite DH rider, Dale McMullan, for on an evening ride with the staff.
Julian described it as "good fun" and can confirm there is certainly some steep stuff in Northern Ireland.

Overall he was impressed with the teams’ professionalism, commitment and dedication to cycling.
