An interest and dedication to working with children from birth to 16.

Duration:

16 weeks

Content:

Includes 3 days per week training and 1 day per week work placement in a child care setting.
Training will include the Technical Certificate (Level 2) in Children’s Care Learning and Development, Key Skills (Level 1) in Communication and Application of Number as well as Employment Rights and Responsibilities. There will also be the opportunity to participate in a Paediatric First Aid course.
You will work together with your tutor and support team to produce a CV, perform job searches and develop interview techniques.

Progression:

Once this course has been completed and you are employed in a child care setting for more than 16 hours per week, you will be able to progress to the full apprenticeship award in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (NVQ Level 2).
