Cytech Retail Directory

Cytech Retail Directory has been launched by the ACT this week and Mark Brown describes it in his own words:

As you may have seen we have begun to promote the Cytech Retail Directory.  
 
I think the Directory could be a valuable tool for you and in turn I hope you can help us to keep it up to date.
 
From your point of view the Directory offers a summary of which qualifications are already held in a particular store and which individuals have them.
 
The Directory is also a good way to further promote the benefits of Cytech by showing how many other stores, perhaps locally, are are already involved or not. Every store is ranked against all the others in the Directory. Use the arrows to rank the stores in the store ranking column.
 
If you have seen the Directory you will know that it lists over 530 bike shops (plus suppliers / manufacturers) who have Cytech qualified staff. There are over 1200 Cytech qualified staff in the Directory. 
 
One of the main aims of the Directory is to provide an ongoing census and update tool. This means retailers and staff can check their details and inform ACT of which shop they are now working in, whether the shop has taken on new Cytech staff from elsewhere and to request new / replacement certificates etc. 
 
We know many more people are out there with Cytech qualifications, however they need to contact us to make sure they are included on the Directory.  We are only including people from our last census in 2007, therefore anyone who did not do this will not be on the Directory because we do not know which store they are in.
 
If you could let us know of anyone you think is not listed or perhaps linked to the wrong store that would really useful.  Ideally get them to contact us.
 
A Top 50 ranking of Cytech qualified shops will be announced on 1st December, which I'm hoping will also raise the profile of Cytech and no doubt get a few people talking.
