Train to be an electrician for just £3000
This course will see you qualify as a Trainee Electrician with Both a City and Guilds 2330 and an NVQ in Performing Electrical Operations (Electrical)
You will be qualified to work in the electrical installations industry after this 6 month course.
Course Details
Breakdown of the Level 2 Electrical Installations Programme
The level 2 Course involves the learner training with ATG Training in the Aylesbury work shop full-time for up to 6 months to gain basic skills and qualifications. The course hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm and Fridays 8:30am to 12:30pm.
While on the level 2 programme, the learner can apply for either EMA or the Adult Learning Grant (subject to eligibility)
UPON COMPLETION OF THE LEVEL 2 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS PROGRAMME YOU WILL ACHIEVE:
City and Guilds 2330 at level 2
NVQ Level 2 in Performing Engineering Operations
UNITS:
- EAL – 033 - Wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits
- EAL – 034 - Forming and Assembling Electrical Cable Enclosure and Support Systems
- EAL – 037 - Maintaining Electrical Equipment/Systems
Employability Training
While you are studying the Level 2 Electrical Installations Programme, you will be allocated a Recruitment and Placement Coordinator who will:
- Actively looking for employment placement opportunities for you
- Update you with placement opportunities
- Send your CV to employers
- Organise interviews and prepare you before you go.
You will also have the opportunity to attend Career Interviews, CV Writing, Job Searching and Interview Technique training. ATG Training cannot guarantee a placement but the skills you learn will help you achieve employment in the future.
Continuation of Studies once in work:
Once you have completed the level 2 qualifications and you have secured employment, you will be eligible to apply for the Level 3 qualification whilst working. Once you have completed your Level 3 you will be a fully qualified electrician. The level 3 programme runs for about 18 months whilst you are in work.
Breakdown of the Level 3 Qualification
The Level 3 qualification is funded by the government up to the age of 25. If you are over the age of 25 and still wish to pursue your level 3, please speak with our sales division.
Once employed within the electrical industry you will be paid a salary by your employer and through a day release programme and visits to your work placement by an NVQ Assessor you can achieve:

Entry Requirements
As a paying customer you will still be required to sit an assessment to determine your ability to handle the course content. Applicants must reach Key Skills Level 1 in application of Number and Literacy assessments.
No previous qualifications other than an ability to reach the required level on the assessment are needed.
Cost
ATG Training is a registered charity and a not-for-profit organisation. The cost of providing the training is supplemented by commercial sales of other training products to business and employers. Our Course runs at a very competitive cost of £3000 (for the Level 2 Qualification only.)
