Engineering NVQ Levels 1 to 3 Details

NVQs provide the opportunity to develop technical proficiency in the workplace. Engineering NVQs are part of an apprenticeship but can be taken as stand-alone qualifications. ATG offers Engineering NVQs at Levels 1, 2 and 3. They are available to individuals of any age, but if you are 16-24 you can undertake an apprenticeship, which includes an NVQ, at no cost. NVQs are based on industry standards and learners demonstrate that they have acquired the skills and knowledge required. NVQs are assessed in the workplace and learners need to be employed for a minimum of 16 hours per week. The primary objective of an NVQ is to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce.

Level 1 is suitable for operators. Level 3 is suitable for technicians, craft and supervisory employees. Level 2 is suitable for semi-skilled employees.

NVQ Structure

An NVQ consists of mandatory units plus optional units selected to reflect the job role.
