HSO9 - Working at Heights
Falls from height are the biggest cause of fatal and serious injuries in construction. They account for some 50% of all deaths (source HSE). With the introduction of new legislation, this Workshop sets out the legislative background and also provides interpretation of the responsibilities of duty holders to ensure statutory compliance. It covers the issues of working at height and uses case studies and accident statistics to reinforce the need for effective risk assessments and working practices.
