HNC Electrical and Mechanical
Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering remain at the forefront of advances in modern industrial applications. They are at the centre of all design, materials, communications, computing, sound and vision systems as well as many other modern manufacturing and processing systems.
The level 4/5 Higher National Certificate offers the opportunity to specialise within the scope of the specialist units available. They are designed to provide a springboard to the second year of a related university honours degree programme, or for those already working in the sector, to progression within the workplace.
The course consists of 10 units of which 5 are compulsory and 5 are options in a specialist field.
The course is delivered via a teaching semester methodology over two years. Four blocks of 22 weeks per teaching semester over the duration of the course. Attendance will be an afternoon and evening per week to minimise the time away from the workplace. A possible option of twilight/evening attendance may be arranged; however this will extend the course by a minimum of a year.
The programme cost is £1,200 inclusive of VAT per year, which includes all programme materials, registration and certification.
£300 will need to be paid on enrolment followed by eight instalments of £262.50 payable by Direct Debit; however, a discount would be available for those who enrol prior to July 31st 2010.
This will be a very popular course therefore places will be given on a first come first served basis, subject to entry requirements.
