Ian Harper
Ian Harper was appointed Chief Executive in 2010 after 10 years of experience at all levels at ATG Training.
He managed the ICT department at ATG for four years and was then promoted to manage the Operations department. Since 2005, Ian has negotiated all of ATG Training’s LSC contracts totalling £3.5m per year. In 2005, he wrote the successful CoVE bid for Cycle Maintenance which generated four hundred thousand pounds of investment over three years and in 2006, Ian was promoted to manage the Cycle Maintenance department which accounts for around 40% of ATG Training’s apprenticeship learners. Ian oversaw the department in a period of rapid growth when it doubled in size within nine months. Heading a team of eleven assessors and two instructors, Ian was responsible for the quality of service delivery, which was reflected in success rates for apprenticeships that were above national averages. In 2008, Ian was promoted to Director of Learning and Skills, with responsibility for all training delivery.
Ian has written many other successful bids generating over two hundred thousand pounds of additional income. He is a qualified ISO auditor and successfully managed ATG Training’s ISO accreditation from 2004 to 2006. He was the nominee at the last ALI inspection.
