ICT NVQs Levels 2 to 4 Details

NVQs provide the opportunity to develop technical proficiency in the workplace, and can taken as part of an Apprenticeship or as stand-alone qualifications. ATG offers ICT NVQs at Levels 2, 3 and 4.

NVQs are available to all, but if you are aged 16-24 you can undertake an Apprenticeship, which includes an NVQ at no cost. Companies can access funding for employees who do not have a Level 2 qualification under the Train to Gain programme. NVQs are based on industry standards, the learners demonstrate that they have acquired the skills and knowledge required.

NVQs are assessed in the workplace and learners need to be employed for a minimum of 16 hours a week. The primary objective of an NVQ is to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce.

NVQ Structure

NVQs consist of mandatory units plus optional units selected to reflect the job role.
Level 1 is suitable for operators
Level 2 is suitable for semi-skilled employees
Level 3 is suitable for technicians and supervisory employees
Level 4 is suitable for technical and line management positions
