Overview
ATG Training is one of the largest independent training providers to the Thames Valley LSC. We undertake provision of a wide range of apprenticeship programmes from pre-apprenticeship to advanced levels, in line with our core activities listed previously. At any one time we may have more than 100 apprentices in training. We are also a major Train to Gain provider using work-based learning programmes to assess on-the-job capabilities.
LSC National Cycle Maintenance Training

Overview
ATG has worked closely with the cycle industry over the last 6 years to develop recognised vocational qualifications and ATG is now the leading UK provider in this field, working closely with Halfords and the majority of independent bicycle retailers in the UK to provide specialist training to mechanics to set up and repair bikes. ATG also works closely with the major bike importers to offer commercial courses to enthusiasts in areas such as a wheel building and bike optimization.
SEEDA/ESF – Marine Technology Regional Resource Centre (RRC)

Overview
A Collaborative project led by City College Southampton and supported by ATG Training and Solent University. The marine technology RRC focused on addressing the skills and workforce development needed for the marine sector ATG Training provided expertise in CAD, CAM, CNC and Metrology at Level 3 – delivering over 100 courses to a wide range of marine organizations across the South East.
The RRC continues to provide courses and has recently commenced work with the Aerospace RRC to share expertise, transfer knowledge and develop new courses.

Overview
ATG Training was contracted by the Science and Facilities to develop 3, Level 3 courses in Electronics/ICT. The courses were delivered across 8 companies to 35 candidates, fully meeting targets set by STFC.

Overview
ATG partnered with PERA to review training provision and employer demand in the engineering/manufacturing sector in the South East. Mapping exercises, together with extensive interviewing of providers and employers resulted in a blueprint that has since been used as a basis for helping to formulate other initiatives.

Overview
In partnership with PERA, Portsmouth University, City College Southampton and Farnborough Technical College, ATG delivers a wide range of accredited technology related courses. Many of these courses have been developed by ATG curriculum staff and use the latest CAD/CAM equipment and software. The flexible nature of delivery, together with the high level of staff expertise ensures clients get maximum business impact from the training as well as recognised awards.

ATG Training works closely in a wide variety of partnerships including Centres of Vocational Excellence, Regional Resources Centres, National Skills Academy – Manufacturing, University Centre Aylesbury Vale, and the Buckinghamshire Economy and Learning Partnership.
Areas for Future Development
ATG is committed to expanding its range of activities, both geographically and sectorally. At the present time our Aylesbury HQ is able to attract learners from across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes – we are seeking to extend this capability into Oxfordshire. We are looking to extend our work-based learning programmes into the London area, and expand our Manchester operations. We are keen to develop partnerships with other complementary providers.
