Computer Aided Machining

Course Overview


This course provides an introduction into generating 3 and 5 axis milling programs using CAM software and covers importing of models, orientation, stock creation, cutter creation and the use of many different machining strategies to produce the desired components. We are currently using several different CAM packages to ensure we can meet customer requirements. Software includes OpenMind; Hypermill and Delcam.

Mode of Delivery


The course will be delivered utilising up to date CAM software packages. Course materials summarising process steps and key learning points will be given to each delegate for easy reference and use in their own working environment.

Individual Participant Projects


On completion of the training the delegate will be required to complete an assessment exercise.
